Collapse AllWake up early and meet your trekking guide for the day’s briefing. The Hillarsysteptrek has planned an early morning flight to Lukla. So, get started with packing the essentials you need, have a hearty breakfast at Kathmandu, And hire a taxi to Tribhuwan International Airport.
Afterward, you board a flight to Lukla, which is 35 minutes from Kathmandu. Soak in the incredible aerial view of the Himalayas, and arrive at Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla., After a short break, and exploration at Lukla, you now need to trek to Phakding at 2,610 m, which is 7.5 km in total.
The starting elevation is 9,100 ft / 2,800 m, and with 3 hours of gradual ascents and descents, you reach Phakding. This is where you acclimatize, savor local cuisines, and spend your night in guesthouses. Simply relax as the long days of trekking are about to begin from the next day.
Day 2 of your trek offers you breathtaking scenery. With early morning breakfast, we trek the well-maintained trail but steady climbs in the Dudh Koshi river upstream, which leads to Namche Bazaar.
By 10 AM you arrive at Hillary Bridge and take a moment to capture snaps. Now you continue to ascend on a beautiful riot of rhododendron forests, and pine trees, and enjoy the soft breeze as the wind swirls by.
It takes about 9.4 km to reach Namze Bazaar, while the elevation gain from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is approximately 830 meters (2,723 feet). This ascent takes about 6 to 7 hours, now prepare to have lunch in Benkar teahouses. The bustling Sherpa village, Namche awaits to welcome you. Relax in the teahouses of Namche for the day.
Everest View trek brings you to face the breathtaking panoramas of Annapurna sanctuary, following an invigorating climb. As you take a gradual uphill path from Namche, you arrive at Syangboche, at an altitude of 3,962 meters, it’s where Hotel Everest View is located.
On top of it, you can enjoy the panoramic vistas of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and mighty Everest. Reflect on the incredible views and time has come to follow the same trail. Explore Namche Bazaar in the evening, and soak up the vibrant ambiance of Namche. Trek from Namche Bazar to Lukla, is approximately 17.9 km, and trekkers take about 6 to 7 hours to complete. The trail unfolds the villages of Tengboche, home to a famous Buddhist monastery. Explore Tengboche Monastery, which is the largest gompa in the Everest region.
You stop here for lunch and then continue to descend to Phakding and Monjo until you reach Lukla. You trace the final steps and have the resilient spirit of a steep and challenging trek. Rest your day at Lukla and prepare to leave from Kathmandu the next day.
The final day before you leave for Kathmandu offers unparalleled aerial views of the Himalayas.
