You will also come across pine and pear forests that make your experience even more majestic. With all the stunning views along the way, you will arrive at Tengboche to see the stunning sunrise and Imja Valley. Spend a day exploring ancient Tibetan monasteries, Chortens, and Mani walls and gather more moments that can last for a lifetime.
Experience Exquisite Culture and Tradition
The Khumbu region has been home to the Sherpa people for a long period. You can learn the history and tradition of the region’s culture and tradition from these people. They are very welcoming to any local or foreign guests who are willing to respect and learn about their culture,
In addition to the Sherpa people, many other communities of different castes and ethnicities live in lower Khumbu. This makes the Everest Panorama trek a great way to learn about these diverse groups.
The influence of Tibetan culture is strong in the Everest region, where people have kept old traditions alive. Visitors can see many ancient monasteries, Chortens, and mani walls, which are centuries-old and showcase the area’s rich cultural heritage.
Best Seasons for Everest Panorama Trek
Spring and Autumn are the best time for Everest Panorama Trek. The Spring season starts from Mid March to late May whereas the Autumn season begins from September to November. During these seasons the weather and temperature are moderate for trekking. You will also get the company of colorful flowers like rhododendrons and make your trip even more beautiful.
It might be quite surprising for many people that trekkers especially prefer the fall season to the Spring season. During both these seasons, the weather and climate are clear. The atmosphere is less hazy and there is almost no chance of rainfall. The views are pristine and clear along with trekking route is dry which makes it easier to scale, especially at the higher altitude.
Throughout these seasons, Khumbu’s temperature ranges from -6 to 12 degrees Celsius. Autumn days are warm but nights are cold. It’s festival season, offering cultural experiences. Spring, despite crowds, offers the best weather with warm sunshine and clear skies, except in early spring.
As Spring and Autumn seasons are the best, similarly monsoon and winter seasons are not optimal for trekking. Monsoon season is among the worst as you will suffer from continuous mild to heavy rain. Furthermore, there are chances of natural disasters like floods and landslides.
Winter season is also regarded as the tough season for trekking mainly due to the cold weather. During the winter season, the temperature during the days decreases to 5 degrees to 0 degrees whereas at night it reaches way before the freezing point and can even reach up to -20 degrees Celsius.
However veteran trekkers believe that the winter season trek is not as half bad as what people think. But if you are not experienced and don’t have an understanding of trekking then it is unwise for you to trekking during the winter season.
Trek Difficulty for Everest Panorama Trek
Everest Panorama Trek is a short trek for any beginners trying their first trek. The trekkers don’t have to plan or face long walks as the travel plan is not very long.
The journey is very fun as you meet different people in a small village and trials are not hard and complex to scale. One of the key difficulties that can arise during your trek is tiredness and fatigue. Each day you have to trek at least 5 km for 6-7 hours. Although the route is not as complex you still have to hike upwards which will take a toll on your body.
Another factor that creates trek difficulty is Altitude sickness. Altitude sickness is possible beyond the altitude of 2500m. Since you will reach an altitude of 3880 m, the chances of sickness are possible. Altitude sickness is generally the result of rushing towards altitude quickly.
When your body doesn’t get used to the air pressure and lack of oxygen in the air, you will suffer from altitude sickness. So the best way to prevent the sickness is to gradually ascend and descend the altitude. You must also separate an acclimatization day to get used to the air pressure and climate.
It is also essential to not get dehydrated as it can be another cause of Altitude sickness. So always drink hot lemon or honey water and avoid alcohol during your trekking days,
Foods and Accommodation during the Everest Panorama Trek
During your Everest Panorama Trek, you will come across different hotels, lodges, or teahouses along your way. In cities areas like Kathmandu or even Namche, the accommodation services are high standards. They are also quite expensive than budged lodges or teahouses which have limited services.
The meals offered at guesthouses predominantly consist of Nepalese cuisine, featuring the renowned Dal, Bhat, Dhindo, vegetable curry, soups, stew, and Achar. Additionally, a variety of western dishes like Pizzas, dumplings, and burgers are available. Breakfast typically comprises simple fare rather than elaborate dishes like bread, toast, tea, coffee, cereals and cornflakes
In the case of accommodation in Khumbu, the lodges and teahouses have simple but comfy rooms. You can get a single bedroom in a town area like Namche but in villages, you will have to share your room with other trekkers but will have a single bed. If you want a single bedroom you can pay extra if it isn’t completely booked.
