We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Milan as our trekking guide and Shiva as our porter from Hillary Step Treks.
Both of them were exceptionally kind, caring, and genuinely good-hearted.
Shiva is a strong yet humble man who always walked ahead at a steady, reliable pace, yet never failed to look back frequently to check on us and make sure we were okay – far beyond just carrying the luggage. He kept a constant smile and stayed alert to every situation.
Milan is an energetic, mature, and patient guide who gave his full effort and attention to every challenge, especially since we were complete beginners. He has a warm, sincere heart and an amazing sense of humor (we even made our very first TikTok ever with him – it was absolutely hilarious!).
We truly enjoyed every moment of our seven-day trek with them. Thanks to Milan and Shiva, we never once felt worried or unsafe – they made us feel completely secure and well taken care of the entire time.

Doing the trek with Hari was a great experience as he ensured that it was tailored to our different fitness levels. He always picked the best guesthouses and asked for feedback to ensure they had a good stay (and will change the guesthouses that we’re not up to standard in the future). Hari made the trek fun and he shared all his knowledge along the way (we had lots of questions!). Hari was very quick to communicate via email and WA and also adapted to changes quickly (as one of us missed our flight and he changed the itinerary for us at the last minute). I would highly recommend Hari and his company( Hillary Step Treks) for any treks you plan in Nepal: you will be in good hands!!
